“Alright class, settle down!” the teacher yelled as she banged the ruler against the side of the desk. Rikku snapped in attention at this because she was a good student and didn’t want to get in trouble. And Ginny did the same.

“Alright class,” The teacher said once they settled down. “Today we have a new student. Please introduce yourself.” She pointed at Matt Rumney.

Matt stood up by the chalkboard and faced the class, a sudden breeze from the open window blowing his luchious hair a bit, making Rikku feel a bit awkward. She crossed her legs and bit her lip, hoping that it would go away.

“Hello, I’m Matt Rumney.” Matt began, casting his eyes on Rikku. “I’m just moved here from Michigan. My dad moved us to DC to set up shop here because he owns a Manufacturing business. I’m also a Mormon.”

Suddenly a voice spoke up: “Your a Moron?” and the class burst out in laughter. Matt felt his cheeks grow red as everyone laughed at him, except for the girl in the back.

“no No…” Matt tried to explain. “Mormon is a religion. I’m a different religion, but I still believe in Jesus!” But his words were lost”

“Silence! Silence!” The teacher shouted, as she quieted the class. “You may sit down, Matt.”

Rikku felt a bit bad for Matt as he shuffled to his desk and hid his head in his arms. She wanted to go up to him, and give him a hug to make him feel better, but she didn’t want to look like a huge dork in front of everyone.

After she got the class quiet again, the teacher went to the chalk board, writing out an important date in American History. “Please take out your History books and turn to page 55 where we were talking about the Civil War…” Teacher sat down on her chair for a minute when suddenly a large farting noise sounded. She stood up and picked up the flattened bag of a whoopee cushion as the class once again howled with laughter.

“Who did this? Who put this on my chair.” The teacher frowned. When no one answered, she threw the bag in the garbage can and went back to the lesson.

Rikku saw that Matt had unhid his face and was reading in his book, a sly smile on his face. Instantly her heart began to beat fast as she felt herself fall in love, knowing that he was behind the trick.

A new boy who’s also a bad boy. She thought to herself as she stared at him during the rest of class. She was so out of it, that she didn’t hear the bell for lunch until Ginny poked on her.

“Come on, Rikku-chan nya! They’re having hamburgers!” Ginny squealed.

“Alright Ginny-chan!” Rikku said as she jumped up to follow her friend. When she passed by Matt’s desk she stopped and turned, trying hard not to geek out.

“Hey Matt. Would you like to eat lunch with me and my friend, Ginny?”

Matt paused as he was putting his school supplies away. “Sure.” he replied, even though Ginny scowled at him for hurting her bestie before.

“That’s wonderful! Come with us and we’ll show you where the lunchroom is!” Rikku said as she suddenly felt herself grab Matt’s hand, her cheeks growing crimson.
